Biography
Mallory Goddard is a dedicated young musician whose passion for singing has developed through years of training, performance, and leadership. Since 3rd grade, Mallory has also been an active participant in her district’s Music in Our Schools performances, continuing this tradition for eight years and gaining valuable stage experience from a young age. These early opportunities laid the foundation for her continued growth and commitment to music throughout her academic career.
Now a senior at Martin County High School, Mallory continues to pursue her passion at an advanced level. She serves as the OPUS Student Conductor under the direction of her choir director, where she demonstrates both leadership and musicianship, inspiring her peers through her dedication and talent. In addition to her work at school, Mallory studies voice privately, continuing to refine her technique and artistry through individualized instruction.
Mallory has been selected for the Florida All-State Honors Choir for six consecutive years. Most recently, she was recognized as one of the top 25 sopranos in the state for her sight-reading abilities, earning a place in the prestigious Florida All-State Reading Chorus. She has also consistently received Superior ratings at both the district and state levels of the Florida Vocal Association Solo & Ensemble competition, including multiple “Superior with Distinction” awards at the State Solo & Ensemble Festival.
This season, Mallory has been featured as a soloist in several major masterworks, including Fauré’s Requiem, Mendelssohn’s Hymn of Praise, and Handel’s Messiah. She was also a featured soloist with Divisi, performing Moses Hogan’s “I Want Jesus to Walk with Me,” further showcasing her versatility and expressive artistry.
Notably, Mallory made history as the first student from Martin County to be accepted into the prestigious Palm Beach Opera Studio. Now entering her second year in the program, she continues to study with esteemed faculty and gain invaluable hands-on experience in the professional opera world.
In addition to her school accomplishments, Mallory has recently been named a winner of the Choral Society of the Palm Beaches Vocal Competition and earned second place in the vocal category of the Pathfinder Scholarship Awards. She also competed against some of the top young vocalists in the Southeastern United States at the Schmidt Vocal Competition in Atlanta, Georgia, where she was awarded second place and qualified for the national finals in Sarasota.
Through her continued dedication, leadership, and passion for music, Mallory is preparing to pursue a future in vocal performance and opera at Stetson University.
